ABDC Episode 7

This season of ABDC has been awesome. I though this season was better than the second season. ( Of course the first season was the best!) This whole season, I've been rooting for two teams. I liked both QUEST CREW & BEAT FREAKS. However, it came to the point where I could only root for one because they both made it to the final episode.

This season, they made the finale theme as Battle of the Sexes. I honestly think that because Beat Freaks are females, they might win. (Even though they were awesome throughout the show) However, I actually want Quest Crew to win. Their routines were creative and not boring. I love them! :] So yeah, We will just have to see who wins next Thursday. AH! Another season of ABDC over with. Darn!

Stuck in my head

So, you know the saying ... a girl's favorite song describes how she feels inside. Well, I am not sure if it's the guitar playing and smooth melody of the song... but this song has been stuck in my head. ( In fact, it's even on my myspace) Well, just to share it with you guys... I decided to show the lyrics. Enjoy! (Try looking the song up on Youtube, Imeem, etc.)

She Was Mine- AJ Rafael ft Jesse Barrera

So I hopped on a train,
3 in the afternoon
I don't know when I'm coming back,
but i hope that its soon
See I never thought (never thought)
that I'd have to leave your side (your side)
Its only physically,
but i know that you'll be on my mind,
24 hours at a time
Cause in my eyes,
you were mine (you were mine)

CHORUS:No matter where you go,
I wont be very far
Cause in my head I'll be right there
where you are
Cause love has no distance baby
Love, love has no distance baby
No, not when it come to you and me
See she wrote me a letter
Said the weather wasn't better
But she said that she was doing fine
I wanna see you face to face
That's what she wrote to me that day
And i knew that it was all a sign
So I wrote back with this song
Promised to won't be too long
Wanna make up for all our lost time
Cause in my eyes, you were mine (you were mine)

*CHORUS*

So I'm going through these boxes,
My life's gone off track
Cause its been three years
And she hasn't written back
But in my eyes,
She's still mine
And I know it sounds so stupid
To be waiting this long
But I'm still in love and
I know I'm not wrong
Cause in my eyes,
She's still mine

*CHORUS*

Slammin' Sadies

This whole weekend was taken over by our school's sadies. The theme of this year's sadies was "a blast from the past" aka. The 90's. Since I am in stu-co, setting up for the dance kept me busy. All our hard work paid off though. The dance ended up looking beautiful. It reminded students of the memories they had of their childhood. All the posters that stu-co made were cool! I especially liked the SAC entrance because it was covered with a huge Pokeball. (Pretty neat)

Since it was the 90's & since sadies meant matching with your date... i noticed a lot of people actually followed the theme. Most people shopped at Hot Topic because they sold graphic tees with cartoons from the 90's. (Hot Topic made bank!) I even shopped at Hot Topic for this sadies and thank goodness no one had the same shirt I did. Otherwise, that would of sucked!

This year's sadies was great! I'm kind of sad though that it was my LAST sadies of my last year in Highschool. (ahhh. im graduating!)

My Freewrite

So in World Literature Honors, one of the first tasks we accomplish is freewriting. Freewriting is exactly what it literally means. Freewriting involves writing for as long as the teacher says to write for about anything you want. The key trick is to not stop writing.

Since I have World Literature Honors in the morning, I usually think about food if I had to pick something random. I always get soooo hungry in class. My freewrite that I wrote about was about the vietnamese spring rolls. I was craving vietnamese spring roll. It's one of my favorite food in the whole wide world. However, in Las Vegas, I barely get to eat any. That's because unlike California, there are not as much vietnamese fast food restaurant in Las Vegas. The only place I could think of retrieving them would be in China Town. That's like across town from me. (Nu Uh!) I think that the best spring roll I ever ate was the home made ones my dad makes. That's because you could put whatever you want in them! & I also especially like his spring roll sauce that he makes. He adds pineapple crushes in them so it has a yummy unique flavor. You can get that from restaurants. (Believe me!) But yeah, I'm so craving them and I hope I atleast get to eat them when I return to the BAY to visit my family! Yeah huh.

What a weekend :]

This weekend, I had a party to attend on both Friday and Saturday! :] I was waiting until someone finally had a party. School is stressful, and it is nice one in a while to just get out and party.

Friday

Friday was Ariane's surprise birthday party and it was fun . I got there around 5 pm with friends. No one was really there unti like later on in the night though. It was cute because we did the whole SURPRISE pop out thing-a-ma-jig. There was lots of food too! (Food is like one of the best things about a party). Dancing was going on and a lot of mingling. The party lasted til who knows when but I left at 11:00 pm with Menellei . Yup, then, i went to sleep cause I had to wake up for the party the next day.
Saturday

Saturday was Nathan's birthday party. Saturday started like this. Jordan picked up at 12 noon and we went out for last minute birthday present shopping. We started off by going to the mall. However, nothing there caught our eye. Who knew that stores could all of a sudden not sell clothes that were eye catching. After that, Jordan wanted his boba at Jollibee so we went there. We didnt see anyone with their mom at Seafood City. (Wow that's a first) Then, we went to Petsmart and met up with Glezzelle. We spent a whole hour and a half trying to decide what to get. We were playing with the animals too. Like the Kitties! Jordan, Glezzelle, and I ended up getting two crabs, feederfish, and a fishbowl with a cute bamboo tree. We named the crabs Tupac and Biggie. We named the three fish Bone, Thugs, and Harmony. After that, Jordan and I went to Menellei's house and right when we got to her house, the water from the fishbowl spilled all over me! So i ended up using Menellei's blowdryer to dry my pants up! Jordan came up with this funny poem for Nathan's birthday card. Hilarious! Then, when Menellei's parents finally came to her house, we left and went to Nathan's house. It was fun! There was even MORE food! Yummy :] There was even a jumper! But, it was cold! mhmm. cold cold cold. The rest of the night was just all fun and games, karaoke, dancing, cake, and more food. :] I had fun.

Now, I have to work on homework for Tuesday. Ew. Not fun!

A Book Everyone Should Read

A book I think everyone should read is the book "A Rose For Melinda." The author of the book is Lurlene McDaniel (my favorite author). This book is about a girl named Melinda and a boy named Jesse who manage to continue writing to each other even though they live in different states. However, eventually Melinda finds out that her leukemia gets to her and she has to quit daily hobbies like ballet. Jesse finds out and eventually gets to see her again. The last part of the book is really sad. This book made me cry and it is really easy to read. (Pretty short in length) I think everyone should read it because it does teach a life lesson that even if life treats you bad, there will always be someone special to help you overcome the obstacles.

Motivation

Okay, so what got me started into making this account was because my teacher for World Literature assigned us to create our own blogspot. :] Luckily, I already have one so i got the whole jist of this down. I think that this assignment will be quite fun. :]

I can't wait to start adding my writing work to this!
