Here's my test trial video I decided to upload for Extra Credit! It's just a lameee video of Menellei eating cheese fries at the bowling alley. :] So yeah! Nothing Special. I mean, it's only a video to upload so that I can test this. Anyways, it's way more interesting than watching like a five second video of nothing.

ONE POE READER RESPONSE
The short story, The Tell-Tale Heart, is about a young man who could not bear the sight of an old man's "vulture" eyes. He did not hate the old man, it was just his eyes. Every night at the hour of midnight, the young man would quietly creep into the old man's house and shine the lantern on the old man's eye. He would just quietly stand and watch the old man sleep. The young man did this for seven nights straight. By the eighth night, the young man snuck into the old man's chamber once again. However, this time, the young man accidentally made noise that actually woke up the old man. This noise kept the old man up and frightened. The young man kept going however. He eventually shined the lantern's light only on the old man's eye. The old man was still wide awake...in terror. The young man finally decided to smash the old man with the bed, kill him, and hide his body under the planks of the room. The police decided to have a visit with him and check the premises. The young man felt confident they would not suspect anything but he could not bear the beating heart of the corpse. He gave up and took the blame for his doing. A quote that best represented the story would be, "The disease had sharpened my senses--not destroyed--not dulled them" (pg 3). This quote describes the sound that was heard only by the young man at the end of the story. His guilt over took him and he could not bear the bad deed he committed. He was not able to hide the body no more.
The young man played a significant role in the story, The Tell-Tale Heart. At the beginning of the story, he was a normal guy. However, there was something about the old man's eyes that drove him crazy. He absolutely had no problem with the old man. All he wanted to do was get rid of the old man's eyes.
Over time, his habit of visiting the old man every night started to change his personality. At this moment of the story, his whole life was enclosed to only the old man's eyes. He became spooky, mysterious, and weird. I mean, who sneaks into an old man's house and just watch him sleep. Talk about stalker or crazy psychopath!
At the end of the story, the young man just turned out to be a crazy psycho freak who killed old men because of their eyes. He was even crazy enough to hide the body. His mind just started running on its own without the young man's own thought. A quote from the story that best describes the young man would be, "I could bear those hypocritical smiles no longer" (pg 8). This shows how crazy he finally gets and how he could bare things no longer.
There are many themes that could be categorized for this story. A theme that I think could fit this particular story would be guilt. This story includes the theme guilt because at the end of the story, the whole reason he was becoming crazy was because he felt guilty. His guilt would not let him go. It took advantage over him.
Another theme for this story would be karma. You know the whole saying that you should not do bad things because it will just come back to you. Well, this story is related to the theme karma because since he killed someone, he got the punishment of getting caught for it.
Deep down the story, the theme patience also came to my mind. This story can relate to the theme patience because the whole time, the young man was patiently trying to hold himself from violently ripping out the old man's eyes. However, as you can see, the young man had no patience at all.
So, the themes that related to this story would be guilt, karma, and patience. These themes are all characteristics that people witness or experience themselves in life. I would know because I experienced guilt, karma, and patience each more than once in my life. Trust me, they are themes you really do not want to encounter.

A WORD THAT DESCRIBES ME
Diverse (adj)
-Made up of distinct characteristics, qualities, or elements.
The word Diverse can best describe who I am. The word diverse describes a lot about myself. It describes the different hobbies and talents that I behold. It also describes my nationality. I'm diverse because I am a mixed baby. I am half Vietnamese and half Filipino. That's pretty diverse. (I mean how many people do you know who is half Vietnamese and half Filipino?) I have different hobbies and talents that I can do. I can range from dancing all the way to singing, to performing and instrument, to sports. I have a diversed range of hobbies. My personality is different from other people. I'm a bubbly little girl an different from the rest. I'm unique. (My long hair makes me diversed compared to everyone else at school.) Let's just say, diverse is what I am.
Michelle's Definition of Diverse
-Different, unique, out of this world, showstopper, eye catcher, magical.

TODAY IN CHOIR (Since I don't have a History Class)
I'm in Diversity Choir at Rancho High School! It is one of my favorite classes. Diversity Choir is a jazz based choir. We learn more the jazzy type of music. We also learn pop music and that is a reason why I enjoy this choir. I'm thankful for signing up for this choir because I never knew the kind of voice I had. This year's experience in Diversity Choir has allowed me to come out of my shell. I am not afraid to sing in front of people no more and I even try out for solos to perform at school performances.
Well, before I get into all that inspirational mumbo jumbo, let's talk about what I did in choir today. Today, we warmed up as usual and learned how to sight read. (It's not fun but I'm not that bad at it!) Our class got to learn the music needed for Honor Jazz Choir Auditions. Ms. Ricci is hoping for everyone in our choir to try out because it is the type of choir that best represents us. I like the two pieces we needed to know for the auditions. I'm planning on auditioning because I think that it would be a great experience. Another thing that we have to perform during our auditions is scatting. Scatting is the style of singing used in a lot of jazz compositions. It is the type of singing back then in the old days when the singer just improvised and used syllables like skwee, or shoodoop, bop, dot, skibbidy, etc. It's really fun scatting. We scat in class and everyone has to make their own little solo. But yeah,
Diversity Choir is a great class. You learn so many different types of skills needed to be an awesome jazz, pop, singer. So yeah, cough cough freshmans, sophomores, juniors... think about joining Diversity Choir next year!

TODAY IN MATH
Well, I'm in AP Calculus AB and today in class, we learned how to find the area of a shape on a xy axis. So you thought finding the area was hard in Geometry. (well kiddos... think again!) So, imagine a circle on an xy axis. It's equal and pretty simple but while having that circle on the xy axis, imagine that circle is made up with either squares or triangles. It will make the circle seem 3D. We are trying to find that area of that shape. To figure that out, you would need to find out the area of the shape that makes up the circle. Let's say this circle is made up of a lot of squares. We have to pin point out one square in the circle. (This isnt just squares place on the circle, think more 3D.) Since the area of a square is x squared, you would replace the x with the function that you solved for y. It would most likely be +/- the square root of a number minus x squared. (Yeah... don't feel bad that you might be lost... because believe, it's confusing stuff.) With that, you would just solve. :]
It is a whole lot easier with pictures and the examples she gives in class. Mrs. Corbett even has cool little geometrical wood shapes.
So that was what I learned in Math Class Today.

ABDC Episode 7
This season of ABDC has been awesome. I though this season was better than the second season. ( Of course the first season was the best!) This whole season, I've been rooting for two teams. I liked both QUEST CREW & BEAT FREAKS. However, it came to the point where I could only root for one because they both made it to the final episode.
This season, they made the finale theme as Battle of the Sexes. I honestly think that because Beat Freaks are females, they might win. (Even though they were awesome throughout the show) However, I actually want Quest Crew to win. Their routines were creative and not boring. I love them! :] So yeah, We will just have to see who wins next Thursday. AH! Another season of ABDC over with. Darn!

Stuck in my head
So, you know the saying ... a girl's favorite song describes how she feels inside. Well, I am not sure if it's the guitar playing and smooth melody of the song... but this song has been stuck in my head. ( In fact, it's even on my myspace) Well, just to share it with you guys... I decided to show the lyrics. Enjoy! (Try looking the song up on Youtube, Imeem, etc.)
She Was Mine- AJ Rafael ft Jesse Barrera
So I hopped on a train,
3 in the afternoon
I don't know when I'm coming back,
but i hope that its soon
See I never thought (never thought)
that I'd have to leave your side (your side)
Its only physically,
but i know that you'll be on my mind,
24 hours at a time
Cause in my eyes,
you were mine (you were mine)
CHORUS:No matter where you go,
I wont be very far
Cause in my head I'll be right there
where you are
Cause love has no distance baby
Love, love has no distance baby
No, not when it come to you and me
See she wrote me a letter
Said the weather wasn't better
But she said that she was doing fine
I wanna see you face to face
That's what she wrote to me that day
And i knew that it was all a sign
So I wrote back with this song
Promised to won't be too long
Wanna make up for all our lost time
Cause in my eyes, you were mine (you were mine)
*CHORUS*
So I'm going through these boxes,
My life's gone off track
Cause its been three years
And she hasn't written back
But in my eyes,
She's still mine
And I know it sounds so stupid
To be waiting this long
But I'm still in love and
I know I'm not wrong
Cause in my eyes,
She's still mine
*CHORUS*
